Highly effective sorbent for the purification of alcoholic distillates from impurities, providing a high degree of product purification from heavy metals, proteins, toxins and fusel oils. Does not produce chemical changes in alcohol.
KOVELOS CHISTOGON is a white powder, tasteless and odorless, which is insoluble in water (forms a suspension with water). The average particle size is 0.5-0.8 mm, it has a neutral pH. Bulk density - 700-750 g/liter, specific surface area 300 m2/g., Sorption capacity 280 mg/g.
Composition: amorphous silicon dioxide (SiO2) with a nanoporous structure of particles obtained by artificial means - 98%, sodium sulfate - 1.5%. GMOs, proteins, hormones, antibiotics are absent.
KOVELOS CHISTOGON can be used at different stages of making a drink:
1. At the stage of fermentation:
Add the powder directly to the container with the wash at the rate of 1 g/l.
Provides an improvement in mass transfer during fermentation, accelerates the removal of carbon dioxide from the mash, and reduces the fermentation time.
Controls foaming at the initial stage of fermentation.
Provides complete fermentation of sugar.
Facilitates the clarification of the mash before distillation.
2. At the stage of purification of raw alcohol:
A) In the filter column
The sorbent should be pre-rinsed 3-4 times with water, draining the supernatant liquid. Since KOVELOS CHISTOGON has a high sorption, it is not recommended to use tap water for flushing.
Use the washed sorbent as a column filler.
The input rate is 10-15 g/l 40% raw alcohol. When purifying moonshine with a strength of 70% and above, the input rate increases to 25-30 g/l.
B) Directly in the container
Dilute raw alcohol to 40% alcohol content.
Add KOVELOS CLEANER to the container at the rate of 10-15 g/l and keep for 3-5 hours with occasional shaking.
When carrying out repeated distillation of alcohol, there is no need to pre-wash the KOVELOS CLEANER.
Light turbidity is not removed by filtration, but it is not a lack of the sorbent. The pulverized fraction is most effective during purification and during distillation it remains in the stillage.
When purifying moonshine with a strength of 70% and above, the input rate increases to 25-30 g/l.
3. When entering the finished product:
When using KOVELOS CHISTOGON, a preliminary rinsing of the finished product is required. Otherwise, the transparency of the drink may be impaired. At the same time, the presence of sorbent particles in the drink does not in any way affect its taste and is completely harmless to human health. After washing, it is necessary to pour the sorbent into the finished drink at a dose of 10-15 g/liter and keep it for 3-5 hours, shaking it periodically. After that, the product should be filtered.
